Today I want to share my favourite must-have summer make-up products to help you battle this heatwave and stay looking fresh faced. However, first of all, you may have noticed that things are looking a little different around here. My website has been given a makeover of its very own by the fabulously talented Sarah Shuttle, and I’m so happy with the results – I want to take you through a little bit of the process as I’m just so pleased with my new online home. A Little Bit of Luxe and a Lot of Love
The gorgeous new look of the site started with a moodboard, which Sarah created based on my brief. I love the dusky rose and the glamour and old romance that this collection of images brings to mind.
This moodboard formed the basis of the new site, and Sarah designed the beautiful new logo, complete with stunningly hand-lettered calligraphy. I am a little bit in love with the way these letters swoop and swish – my name has never looked so pretty! Couple this with the truly lovely patterns, antique rose colour scheme and clean and contemporary layout, and voila – the new site was launched. My business has the same heart, it’s just rocking a fabulous new look!

So that’s my personal summer makeover all sorted, let’s talk about yours, and how you can look fresh and dewy no matter how high the temperature climbs!
I love the summer sunshine, but it can prove problematic for your make-up. When you’re hot and sweaty, you need some products with serious lasting power in your make-up bag, to keep you looking put together until long after sunset.
I’ve been using the three products below on my gorgeous summer brides, and have had several comments about how well the make-up lasted, despite the heat (and their crazy moves on the dancefloor!).
My Three Miracle Summer Make-up Products
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer
This is basically magic in a bottle! It’s a light and soft, oil-free primer that gets your face in perfect shape for foundation, and helps it to last longer, too. I love how smooth it is, and it minimises pores and hides areas of redness, too. It’s my number one go-to for the summer months.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Once foundation is applied, this setting powder is like gold dust! Fabulous coverage, incredibly lightweight and with a gorgeous satin finish, this is brilliant at prolonging the wear of your make-up, and looks beautifully natural.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
This weightless spray is my secret weapon during this heatwave. A couple of quick spritzes over your finished face, and that make-up is not going anywhere! It’s lovely and cooling, and doesn’t feel sticky or tacky.
These three products have been total lifesavers over the last few weeks, helping me to create gorgeously natural, fresh-faced looks for my beautiful summer brides.
